Let us dance

Let us dance in the moonlight.
Let us sing to the stars.

Each day is today. It is the only gift you really get.
Don't squander it.

Philosophy is the search for wisdom

In ancient times, the Greeks used watered down wine as an important part of their symposium sessions. To drink wine straight up was considered tacky, because you became angry and foolish too quickly.

Watered down wine--mixed in different ratios based on the kind of wine and the kind of symposium--led to a relaxed state of mind--an opening of verbal and intellectual skills and created a higher level of philosophical discussions.

This supposedly led to wisdom.

But if that were true . . . why was wisdom lost? Not enough wine?

I personally think it's because they did not invite enough cats to the meetings. If you don't have cats in attendance, how could you possibly think you will achieve wisdom?

It's cats . . . not wine . . . that lead to enlightenment.

We have our life and soul, a gift from a greater being . . . a gift of serendipity.
